The Big One
At long last my best friend and me are going to visit that great land downunder. During our 42 years of marriage we have travelled a fair bit, 43 countries, but have never done the Big One, Australia. We are retired now and have the time to do it. We have booked a Cheapa Campervan with Apollo in Perth. When doing the research thay came out in front of all the other campervan hire companies and have given us a very good hire rate.A Cheapa Campervan will give us the freedom to go and see all the places we want to. Organized tours etc are not for us.We want to see the following. Ningaloo Reef, maybe swim with whale sharks. Margret river wine region. Living in SW/France near Bordeaux it will be of great interest. Shark bay and Monkey Mia are on the list are the great forests of the Southwest. The meusems of Perth & Freemantle are a must . We also want to get a better understanding of the Aboriganal peoples customs and culture. Having soldiered in the deserts of the United Arab Emirates & Oman it will be great to experience again the wilderness and tranquility of great open country. A sunday session is a must as is a visit to Nikkis restuarant in Onslow. A nice glass of scotch whatching the sun set after a good meal has a lot of appeal. When leaving from Perth airport i will have this to say to anyone who is listening."To the land of Emus and Cockatoos Flying Foxes and Kangaroos, The Swagmans heaven the Troopers Hell, great land downunder fare thee well"As we get older we all realise time is running out. We have to make dreams become reallity. A Cheapa Campervan from Apollo will do it for us.
