Research from Tourism Australia indicates Australians are spending more cautiously, looking for deals and value for money. The great Australian tradition of taking the family on the road in a campervan or motorhome is still one of the most cost effective holidays, with costs for a week-long getaway in December 2012 showing savings of thousands of dollars are possible when compared with traditional car hire and accommodation in popular holiday areas.
